A Local Partner,
Not a Corporate Chain

As a local, independent photographer, I am deeply invested in our community. Unlike national corporate chains, I don't treat your school like just another number on a schedule. I offer a personalized, "neighbor-to-neighbor" partnership that big-box companies simply can't provide.

From first-day smiles to the high energy of a photo booth, I document the milestones that define your student's journey with a level of care and attention that only a locally-owned business can offer. I specialize in school photography that is authentic, professional, and full of life.

I believe the photo process should be as joyful as the pictures themselves. I make things simple for busy families with a 100% paperless system. View your student's private gallery and order custom prints directly from your phone—no forms to lose, no envelopes to remember, and no corporate call centers.

My Story

My journey in the media world began back in 1995 as a production assistant on the East Coast. By 1999, I had moved to Oakland, California where I earned my degree in 3D animation, which led to a career as a producer for a video game company, where I created commercials, motion graphics, and edited video.

Eventually, I transitioned into freelancing, but I found the isolation of working alone behind a computer difficult. I truly missed being around people. I realized I wanted to take a break from the screen and give my time to something that helped others, where human connection—rather than just the bottom line—was the driving force.

That desire led me to a school for children on the spectrum, where I spent nine years as a counselor. Two years into my time there, the creative pull returned. I asked the Principal if I could take the school pictures, and he gave me a shot. That single "Picture Day" was the spark that evolved into the full-time school photography business I've proudly run since 2013.

I focus on working with smaller traditional schools, nonprofit organizations, and special education schools. What distinguishes me from other photographers is my extensive experience teaching children, providing me with the patience and skill needed to work effectively with students of all abilities.

FAQ for Schools

Frequently asked questions for administrators considering a local photography partnership.

It's completely digital and stress-free! No more paper forms or cash envelopes for administrators to handle.

With a background of nine years as a school counselor and sixteen years working with children in total, I bring a unique level of patience and understanding to every shoot. I know how to connect with students of all needs to ensure every child feels comfortable and captured authentically.

I am a full-service partner for your school. This includes traditional Picture Day, faculty headshots, graduations, proms, sporting events, Photo Booth, and candid "day-in-the-life" photography for yearbooks.

Typically, there is no cost to schools over thirty students. I provide the staff and equipment, and revenue comes from parent orders. I also offer a percentage of sales back to the school as a fundraiser for specific events.

Privacy is my priority. All student galleries are private, and I use secure, industry-standard hosting. We never share student information.

Yes. I provide correctly formatted images compatible with all major yearbook software (PSPA files) to ensure your yearbook team has everything they need.

Yes. This session is reserved for students who were absent on the original photo day or for those requesting a retake. To ensure we can bring our full mobile studio back to your campus, we require a minimum number of retake requests based on your school's total enrollment.

Absolutely! We love utilizing a school's unique character. If your campus features scenic grounds or manicured landscapes, we are happy to coordinate an outdoor session. This provides a fresh, natural aesthetic that parents often love.

We always come prepared with a "Plan B." For every outdoor booking, we also bring our professional indoor studio equipment. If the weather doesn't cooperate, we can seamlessly move the session inside to a gym, library, or multipurpose room without missing a beat.

Typically, we recommend choosing one style for the whole school to maintain a consistent look for the yearbook. However, we are happy to discuss "hybrid" options for special groups, such as senior portraits or staff photos.
